Privacy, simply.
The contact form prepares an email on your device. It does not submit your message to this website. You decide whether to send it.
This notice covers the freelance homepage and email enquiries.

What happens when you contact me?
Your name and contact email in the form are optional. The message is used locally in your browser to create a draft in your email app. This page does not upload the form contents, save them in browser storage, or send an email automatically. If no email app is configured, you can copy the draft and email me directly.
If you send the email to matic.remse@gmail.com, I receive its contents, your sender address and any name or other information you choose to include. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information.
I use this information to read and answer your enquiry and handle follow-up that you request. I do not add you to a mailing list or use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.
Why may I process it?
For enquiries about engaging my services yourself, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For other relevant correspondence, including contact on behalf of a business, I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to incoming correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). This is limited to handling your message, not marketing.
Providing information is voluntary. Without an email or other way to reach you, I cannot reply. Sending an enquiry is not a requirement to use this homepage.
How long is it kept?
I keep enquiry correspondence while answering it and handling requested follow-up, and delete it once it is no longer needed for those purposes. You can also request deletion earlier. If an enquiry becomes a project, relevant records may be needed for the contract, applicable legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Only the information needed for that purpose is retained.
Deletion requests cover copies under my control, including sent correspondence. Provider backups may retain copies until their normal backup cycle expires; they are not used for new correspondence.
Hosting, email and international processing
Namecheap, Inc. provides website hosting. Google provides the Gmail mailbox used for enquiries. Email also passes through your chosen email provider. These providers process the technical information necessary to deliver their services; authorised service providers or advisers may receive information only where necessary.
These services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Namecheap describes its contractual transfer safeguards in its Data Processing Addendum. Google describes its transfer arrangements in its data transfer information and its handling of information in its Privacy Policy. Contact me for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy where available.
Visits, cookies and security
This homepage and this notice do not set application cookies or use analytics, advertising trackers or a third-party CAPTCHA. Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this website. Opening an email draft involves your email app instead of a form-processing service.
The hosting provider still receives normal connection information, such as your IP address, request time, requested URL and browser information, and may record it in technical logs. The purpose is to deliver and secure the site and diagnose problems, based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Technical logs are kept only as needed for those purposes under the hosting service's log-rotation arrangements; incident records may be retained while an incident is investigated. Form contents are not included in a website request.
The separately available UPN payment tool is not changed by this contact mechanism and may use its own necessary session cookies. This notice does not describe payment-slip processing in that tool.
Your rights and deletion requests
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights depend on the circumstances; where a legal reason prevents deletion, I will explain it.
Email info@maticremse.xyz, preferably from the address you used to contact me. I respond without undue delay, normally within one month. Where the GDPR permits an extension for complex or numerous requests, I will explain this within that first month. I may ask for proportionate verification if needed to protect your information.
You may complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec), www.ip-rs.si, or to the competent supervisory authority where you live or work.
